Chalk Painting

Chalk Paint is the newest craze.  I love it.  

Instead of using Annie Sloan's or CeCe's, I simply make my own.  

It allows me to choose ANY color for my pieces.

Seashell furniture

This side table/night stand was just begging to have seashells on it. It was painted white with chalk paint and then sanded and waxed. After its new paint job, white and pearl shells were added along with our signature blue limpets.

Beach Shabby Candlesticks & Mirror

This is set of candlesticks were just screaming to be painted and shelled.  They were chalk painted white, sanded and then adorned with pearl shells and blue limpets.

This little mirror is just too cute not to post!!

On a side note, the candlesticks are actually a set of 3.  

One of them just kept insisting on not being photographed.  :)

Shabby Chic Candle Sticks

Chalk painting is the latest craze, so of course I had to give it a try.  

Coastal Home and Garden had given me 3 giant candle sticks to shell, but they did not end up that way.  They were large, brown and ornate.  

Who would have thought that they could be so beautiful.

They gave me a giant mirror to do now.  Here is the before pic of the mirror.  When it is finished, it will match the candle sticks.

The after picture will be up by tomorrow.  So far it's looking awesome.
